new caddy bluemotion 102

Got new Caddy bluemotion 1.6 102 bhp swb to replace worn connect T220 swb

Got van on road middle of July found that every thing was either bigger or better than the old 2005 connect which had covered nearly 200k apart from 2 things

1 unknown to me at the time of ordering the bluemotion lowers the suspension a bit so having trouble on farm tracks & forestry roads

2the van feels a bit boaty allways haveing to adjust the steering whilst driveing seems more noticable at speed on dual carriage way

had the tracking checked out as well

was wondering if its to do with the tyres as the connect van comes with heavy duty tyres & caddy comes with low friction tyres

the van is allways fully loaded to around 100kg short of max gross weight

bought new heavy duty springs for rear axle but have not fitted them yet

has anyone else had this problem thanks

A bit puzzled by this post.

The specs for the VW Caddy include Heavy Duty rear suspension so unless I've misunderstood your post you bought a new van that you load almost to the max and find the rear suspension is not suitable for you.

Have you bought the right vehicle for your business? How much of a road test did you conduct?

Ask your vehicle dealer/supplier if fitting different rear springs will invalidate the warranty, (unless they are factory OE parts).

You could have asked for different tyres when you ordered the vehicle and this is something you and your dealer should have arranged.

Sorry to sound a little harsh but I'm beginning to think you did'nt carry out a lot of research before you bought the Caddy.

Regards.
