There are several independent surveys conducted annually that deal with reliability vehicle issues, and we've listed the top ten from our own survey, the FN50, JD Power and the Which? survey.

FN50 Reliability

The FN50 survey conducted by Fleet News is the most comprehensive in terms of the number of vehicles involved, with more than a million cars run by leasing companies included in the survey each year.

An alternative guide to reliability is operated by JD Power. Its annual survey of UK cars is based on the responses of owners of two- to three-year-old cars who read What Car?, and includes various parameters of which reliability is just one.
