Hitachi Capital Vehicle Solutions has won buying agreements for all three lots for public sector fleets in the new Crown Commercial Service (CCS) programme.

The new three-year agreement from the CCS lists Hitachi Capital Vehicle Solutions as a provider in all three lots for their public sector customers.

The agreement is expected to deliver savings for the public sector, by aggregating spend to drive best value.

This includes the lease of cars, vans, alternatively-fuelled vehicles and 4x4s up to 3.5 tonnes (Lot 1), commercial vehicles of 3.5 tonnes and above, including buses, coaches, trailers and municipal vehicles (Lot 2) and fleet management services (Lot 3).

The latter includes Hitachi Capital’s Salary Sacrifice scheme, service, maintenance and repair solutions, daily rental and telematics offering.

“As one of the only providers to cover all three lots following the agreement with the CCS, Hitachi Capital is in a fantastic position to become one of the sole suppliers of vehicles and fleet management solutions to a number of government departments, local authorities and emergency services, including the Police and NHS,” said Jon Lawes, managing director of Hitachi Capital Vehicle Solutions group.

“The agreement will allow Hitachi Capital Vehicle Solutions to forge new relationships with a number of new customers, while building on existing partnerships across a variety of public sector organisations in central and local government, health, education, defence and not-for-profit organisations,” added Lawes.
