Business Development Director – Accident Management

 

£45,000 to £50,000 plus car and bonus

Our client is a large player in the Accident Management sector. They are looking to expand their team recruiting a Business Development Director’s to proactively identify, negotiate and implement new business opportunities, maximising profitability. To plan and execute Sales activities of company’s accident management and claims outsourcing services to sales prospects in the fleet, Insurers/Claims Management Companies, Claims outsource providers, Legal Expense insurers, Brokers and Solicitors. To be considered for this role we are looking for someone from a Business Development background who has either sold in the Accident Management arena or  has an understanding of the claims management industry amd used to working with insurers.

 

You will be responsible to

·         Achieve a unit/gross margin target through new business sales and marketing activities to agreed sales volumes, mix and timescale

·         Proactively monitor and measure personal performance, forecasting and sales pipeline and proactively provide this information to the  Sales Director

·         Analyse industry and customer business trends and communicate forecasts/intelligence internally

·         Develop robust business cases and external presentations/proposals to engage and influence identified prospects

·         Maintain and develop a robust database of sales prospects within the Salesforce CRM platform, producing and maintaining extensive strategic/tactical/operational account plans /including facilitating, co-ordinating contact strategy

·         Recording all sales activity and maintaining/producing regular management performance reports

·         Effectively manage prospect relationships, negotiating new partner contracts and ensuring that contracts are effectively implemented

·         Maintain relationships with the key influencers and decision makers within Insurance Claims sector and effectively develop multi- layer relationships within their business

·         Identify customer service delivery requirements and ensure the effective delivery of the company’s service delivery in accordance with agreed standards

·         Deliver consistent CSI improvements

·         Awareness of the Financial and Operational performance of the business with the customer and investigate required changes in order to achieve account profitability targets

·         Identify new service initiatives to introduce the full range of services and gain customer commitment/lock in

·         Manage a successful communication flow between all internal and external parties to exceed customer satisfaction

·         Liaise with and attend meetings with sales team, line manager and other company functions necessary to perform duties and aid development of the company

·         Attend training and coaching sessions to develop relevant knowledge and skills

 

The ideal candidate will be:

·         Able to demonstrate success and experience in winning accounts of various size/value

·         Preferable recent career experience includes accident management, claims, legal services or credit hire

·         Established contacts in the larger CMC,  LEI, Broker and Insurer market and a good understanding of these markets is also preferable

·         Minimum 3 years’ experience in Senior Strategic Sales role preferably new business/business development

·         Thorough knowledge of strategic management principles and consultative selling approach. Understands the principles of solution selling, market sector targeting, development and communication of value propositions to specific market sectors

·         Proven business development skills including compelling bid writing and a proven track record of client acquisition and growth

·         Strong negotiation skills

·         Proven experience and confidence in dealing across a multi-layered contact
