VMS have built a strong, dynamic client base and pride ourselves on customer retention. Customer service and client focus are paramount to the business, and as a result, a Business Development Manager is now required to take full responsibility for developing our PCO Rental Division.
The role will be based from an office location in Central London and we are looking for someone that lives in this area.
VMS are looking for a like-minded, bright and enthusiastic individual to join our Business Development Team. The role will involve selling and developing the PCO Rental Division of the VMS Group. The main focus will be to identify business opportunities with both new and existing drivers that will increase sales volumes and improve profit margins whilst sustaining and developing solid, long-term relationships with drivers and businesses. There will also be a high degree of focus on the existing hire fleet and ensuring maximum fleet utilisation.
The role of Business Development Manager requires a strong emphasis on communication skills and the ability to promote the services of VMS in the most effective manner to various people and businesses. Business Development Managers will be target driven, commercially and financially astute and have the flexibility to adapt to demanding customer challenges and changes.
A confident and talented commercial negotiator, you will have a natural flair for building strong, long-lasting business relationships that are fruitful for both customer and company.
The Business Development Manager will work to set sales targets based on new customers and existing fleet utilisation, and will be rewarded through a structured commission scheme based on performance against those targets.
You will have an interest in the automotive industry and be keen to take on a job where you can make a real difference to the progress of the company in the coming years. You will be looking to develop your skills in a very fast paced sales environment, dealing with drivers on a daily basis. You will be looking to make swift advancement with a progressive company which will reward your high achievement with a clearly structured career path and genuine management development.
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills/qualifications:
- Be IT literate
- Possess excellent organisation skills
- Have a proven track record in sales and achieving targets
- Have previous business development experience within the car or LCV industry, preferably within a similar role
- Communicate effectively in person and over the telephone
- Be an effective time manager able to ensure business success
