KWIK-Fit Fleet has launched a 24-hour service to handle emergency tyre problems outside office hours. The service will be operated by Kwik-Fit Mobile and backed-up by Green Flag should a Kwik-Fit Mobile van be unable to attend. Out-of-hours calls will carry a charge of £50, plus VAT, with an additional fee for recovery if the problem cannot be fixed at the roadside.

Kwik-Fit Fleet sales and marketing director Simon Roper said: 'Kwik-Fit Mobile was never really designed to operate as an emergency service although, of course, a technician would not walk away from someone in difficulties. Our latest extension to this service has come about only after lengthy discussions with fleet operators and it will enable Kwik-Fit Fleet to provide cover for fleet drivers 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. It's another example of Kwik-Fit Fleet listening to the customer and giving them what they want.'

The service is available via Kwik-Fit Mobile's usual freephone number, 0800 425262, with charges for out-of-hours calls invoiced as part of the regular central billing procedure. There is no call-out charge for using Kwik-Fit Mobile during office hours.
