Ford of Britain has launched a new accident repair initiative to help reduce average repair costs, lower the current write-off rate and support Ford Accident Repair Centres to retain customers.

From now until 30 June, a 50% discount on the recommended retail price of airbags and airbag modules is available to Ford Accident Repair Centres.

The discount is available for genuine airbag parts for all Ford cars and the Ranger pick-up. Ford airbags can cost up to £541.

Nick Halliday, manager of Collision Repair Marketing at Ford of Britain, said: "This promotion will reduce the accident repair costs for insurers and fleet operators and help to reduce the number of write offs of Ford vehicles."
