Sheffield Insulations has deployed GreenRoad’s service across its fleet of HGVs and LCVs achieving a 24% reduction in accidents and a reduction in fuel consumption of 9.7%.
An active participant in the TfL Freight Operators Recognition Scheme (FORS) programme, Sheffield Insulations learned about the GreenRoad 360 service from fellow members.
It aims to help fleets, insurers and consumers improve and sustain safe and fuel-efficient driving behaviour by continuously measuring driving skills, providing real-time in-vehicle driver coaching and offering detailed analysis and recommendations online.
Drivers are rated red, amber or green based on the number of risky driving manoeuvres behind the wheel. Most drivers on the Sheffield Insulations team started with an amber risk rating and nearly all of them have improved to become green drivers, which indicates that they are driving safely and fuel efficiently.
