Qualcomm, a provider of business-to-business wireless enterprise applications and services, and GreenRoad, which provides on board driver assessment applications, have signed an agreement to offer an integrated solution that addresses mobile resource management, safety and driving behaviour.
The product, a combination of Qualcomm’s Service Fleet Manager and the GreenRoad 360 service, is claimed to enable fleets to manage their assets, gain greater fuel efficiency and improve safety.
The combined offering allows fleets to install a single in-vehicle hardware platform, use one data plan, and access best-of-breed fleet management and driving behaviour improvement applications.
The combined service, which is claimed to cut costs by up to 20% ,is available initially for commercial vehicle fleets in North America and the UK.
