The Smart Witness Vehicle Journey Recorder has been launched to protect no claims bonuses against false accusations and licences against incorrect driving convictions.

The equipment provides a visual recording of an accident, other events or a whole vehicle journey. It comes complete with GPS logging in order to record the speed, direction of travel and location of your vehicle on Google Earth. It also allows fleets to monitor employee journeys and excessive speeding, acceleration and braking.

The Smart Witness Vehicle Journey Recorder uses a built in camera and will record good quality images during the day and night. It is also fitted with a high quality lens possessing a viewing angle of 170° - this will provide a very wide angle view from A pillar to A pillar in a vehicle.

The device is designed to be mounted in the front or rear windscreen of a vehicle, on the dashboard or rear shelf. When mounted on the front windscreen behind the rear view mirror it is almost hidden from view - ensuring that it does not look out of place in any vehicle.
