The Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) has extended its contract with fuel card reseller The Fuelcard Company for an additional two years.

The renewal of the contract, originally signed in April 2009, will mean FSB members have a choice of eight different fuel card products, including Keyfuels, Texaco, Shell and Esso.

The scheme also offers members a consolidated HMRC-approved VAT invoice for every fuel purchase, to ensure 100% VAT reclaims on business fuel expenses.

More than 3,000 FSB members have already taken advantage of the scheme and are expected to use their cards to buy 10 million litres of fuel during 2010.

The Fuelcard Company partnership manager Lee Atkinson said: “We truly believe that our fuel card offering is the right one for the Federation. Our broad offering ensures choice and flexibility.

Sandy Harris, chairman of member services at the FSB, said: “Thousands of our members across the UK depend on driving to conduct their businesses so the FSB fuel card scheme delivers tangible time and cost savings, through reduced administration and the keenest prices.
