Gemma Bathurst has been appointed by CLM to head up its corporate and business rental proposition Corporate Vehicle Rentals (CVR).

Bathurst, 28, who joins as rental sales manager, has more than seven years’ experience in the daily rental market with a number of leading companies, including Enterprise Rent-A-Car and Alliance Asset Management.

In her last role before joining CVR, she was rental business development manager for leasing giant LeasePlan, where she was responsible for developing new rental customers especially within the SME sector, a post she held for over two years.

“I’m looking forward enormously to the challenges of developing and growing our corporate rental offering, CVR, and making its many benefits more widely known,” said Bathurst.

“We are still facing tough economic conditions in general in the UK, and this is focussing the attention of more and more businesses on the benefits of daily rental and mini-lease products in meeting their mobility and travel requirements.

“Many companies are not prepared to commit to three year leases for their vehicles under certain circumstances and smarter solutions, such as daily rental and mini-lease, can supply essential mobility to businesses without a long term commitment to funding.”

CVR handles corporate rental-only customers and provides a national and European service for car and van rental, long term hire and mini-lease arrangements.
