Bell Group has awarded a vehicle tracking contract extension to Ctrack, which sees its tracking system used across 235 vans operating nationwide.

Bell Group has been using the Ctrack system for the past seven years having originally fitted the solution to support the planned growth of the company. It says the system has already resulted in 20% reduction in fuel usage and an 8% cut in insurance premiums.

It has been used to provide greater visibility and control over the van fleet that operates from the company’s head office in Glasgow and network of 25 offices across the UK.

Ian Henderson, group managing director at Bell Group, said: “The Ctrack system has allowed us to address key fleet issues faced by the company.

“In the current economic climate, the optimisation of mobile resources is paramount to a successful business and ensures costs are kept under control whilst enhancing our service to valued customers.”

Alastair Fergus, regional manager for Scotland at Ctrack, said: “Longstanding relationships with companies such as Bell Group demonstrate the lasting value we can deliver to fleet operations. We work closely with our customers to create vehicle tracking and resource management solutions that meet specific requirements and help overcome real business challenges.”
