PHS Group plc is extending its fleet supply contract with Pendragon Contracts for a further year as a result of the contract hire company’s long term partnership approach to the agreement.

The contract extension means Pendragon Contracts will continue to replace cars and vans for PHS’ 2,600 fleet, primarily with Vauxhalls, enabling PHS to meet its environmental objectives and to satisfy its drivers’ requirements.

Nigel Bannister, group fleet manager, PHS says: “When we entered into the supply agreement with Pendragon Contracts in 2011, we were confident that the company demonstrated the best understanding of our needs and could deliver an outstanding, value added service to ensure all the cost benefits could be met. In fact, Pendragon Contracts has surpassed our expectations with its commitment to long term cost reductions and benefits while delivering a proactively managed and tailored service.”

John Given, sales director of Pendragon Contracts, comments: “Our aim is to ensure that the agreements we deliver suit the specific requirements of our clients and have flexibility built-in to enable companies to adapt to the changing environment. With such a large fleet as the one run by PHS it’s important to view its plans long-term to ensure the best possible cost savings and service benefits are achieved.”
