Zenith has launched a new iPhone Breakdown App, in conjunction with the AA, which is Zenith branded and has been created specifically for their drivers.

The App stores important information about the driver, including their phone number and vehicle registration. If a Zenith driver breaks down, the App identifies their exact location using GPS.

The AA will instantly receive a request for assistance with all the driver’s details, including their position, name, registration and the vehicle model.

The Zenith App also provides drivers with up to date traffic information from AA Roadwatch. This includes information on any incidents, roadworks or delays within the area.

The launch of the App follows Zenith signing a three year contract with the AA, to provide breakdown services to over 34,000 vehicles under Zenith’s management.

David Wallace, director AA Business Services, said: “We are delighted to be able to work with Zenith and provide our high quality breakdown solutions to their customers.

“This is the first time that we have developed our industry leading App for a leasing company. The App will help us to reach their drivers and get them back on the road as quickly as possible.”

Tim Buchan, chief executive officer for Zenith, said: “The move to the AA will provide our drivers with access to the largest fleet of breakdown patrols available, with rapid response times and high levels of customer service support.

“This new App is a valuable tool for our drivers, enabling them to obtain faster and easier breakdown recovery. It marks the first of a number of driver centric Apps that we plan to roll out this year.”

Information on how to download the App can be found in the downloads section of the Zenith website, www.zenith.co.uk.
