The forthcoming Rapide S took centre stage for Aston Martin at the Geneva Motor Show as the carmaker celebrates its 100th birthday.

The four-door GT replaces the Rapide and has undergone substantial re-engineering.

It now has a more assertive ‘face’ created by its new full grille.

This is matched at the back by a new rear deck profile which consists of a more pronounced boot lid ‘flip’.

Changes under the skin include a new 6.0-litre V12 engine, which offers 550bhp and 457lb-ft, to give a 0-62mph time of 4.9 seconds and a top speed of more than 190mph.

Compared to its predecessor, the Rapide S cuts its CO2 emissions by 7% from 355g/km to 332g/km, while its official combined fuel economy now stands at 19.9mpg.
