Dr Tim Gibson, currently head of learning services, MoJ shared services at the HM Government Ministry of Justice, will act as advisor on e-learning to the Leasing Foundation.

He has worked in learning and development for the past 15 years and was founder of training provider knowledge=power, which trained more than 30,000 UK Independent Financial Advisors.

He was also co-founder of BT Online, BT's first internet connectivity and content business.

Peter Thomas, a director of the Leasing Foundation, said: "We are delighted that Tim has agreed to join us to contribute to our work on education, training and development. His world-class work in learning and development strategy, design, delivery and evaluation will help us better understand what the industry needs and help us to create solutions that serve those needs".

The Foundation's consultation paper on education 'New Routes to Professionalism, Recognition and Reward’ is currently available for comment here.

It will be used to drive the design of new education products and services in collaboration with the industry, training delivery partners and education institutions.

Progress on the Foundation's education initiatives will be discussed at the first Foundation annual conference on September 30, 2013 at RBS in London.
