Lex Autolease, the UK’s leading fleet management services provider, has secured a place on a panel to provide services to the London Fire and Emergency Planning Authority (LFEPA).

LFEPA manages the London Fire Brigade, which comprises 7,000 staff, including 5,800 operational firefighters and officers.

Lex Autolease has been selected as part of a panel to fulfil a request for 210 vehicles through three-year contract hire agreements, which will include full maintenance services. The cars will be fitted with emergency lights and used by Fire Officers to attend incidents.

The tender for the contract, which includes short term rental provision, was administered by independent public services consultancy, Sector Treasury Services, under the Halton Housing Trust framework.

Melanie Holmes, central government and public sector relationship manager at Lex Autolease, said: “At a time when many public sector organisations are looking to drive efficiencies, a contract hire agreement, supplemented by a short term rental service, can provide a cost effective and flexible solution to fleet requirements. We are proud to be a preferred supplier of the LFEPA and support the work of the London Fire Brigade.”
