Fix Auto UK’s network of repair bodyshops encompassing London and its surrounding areas has been further strengthened following the signing of its latest franchise.

Four weeks after announcing the arrival of Fix Auto Chessington, family-owned Deepcut Garage has become a latest member of the network and will operate as Fix Auto Deepcut.

Significantly, this fresh appointment takes the number of Fix Auto vehicle repair sites in and around the capital to 19 and takes the network’s 2014 tally to 13.

Headed by managing director Steve Knight, the business which is also a Bosch service centre, comprises 15 work bays, two spraybooths, one of which has the capabilities of accommodating two vehicles simultaneously, and is PAS 125 accredited.

Currently repairing up to 160 vehicles a month, Fix Auto Deepcut has been a Volvo Approved repairer for more than a decade and also holds insurer approval statuses for Axa and Aviva.

Collectively, along with two sister Bosch service centres in nearby Mytchett and Lightwater, the business employs 40 people and was founded by Mr Knight’s parents, Brian and Brenda, during the early 1970’s.

Knight said: “Thanks to the support and dedication of my team, we have been operating successfully for years, but like any businessman I have ambitions to further develop the business and I realise that, if I am to succeed, the business has to be taken to a whole new level.

“I believe Fix Auto UK will bring that level of professionalism, expertise and guidance I need to succeed in driving the business forward.”

He added: “I believe the days of the small independent repairer are diminishing.  Being part of a network of like-minded businesses is the future and I am just delighted to finally now be part of arguably the best vehicle repair network in the UK.”

Ian Pugh, Fix Auto UK’s managing director, said: “Welcoming a new franchise on board is always a delight, but I have a special fondness for Fix Auto Deepcut; it was one of my regular haunts while I was treading the boards as an insurance engineer.

“I have a huge amount of respect for the Knight family. Once again, I firmly believe this is going to be another exciting partnership.”
