Diesel Particulate Filters (DPF) cleaning provider DPF Clean Team is making a five-figure investment to expand its service to fleet operators.

It has invested in equipment that will enable it to clean up to 1,000 DPFs and Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) units a month, and is also creating three further team member roles.

Cleaning DPF units instead of paying for replacement parts can provide a far more cost effective maintenance option for fleet operators, according to DPF Clean Team.

Cameron Bryce, director of DPF Clean Team, said: "What people may not be aware of is that, just like any other component on their vehicles, the DPF unit requires regular maintenance and cleaning because the cost of replacement can be high.

"Regular checks and cleaning can also improve efficiencies, which can fall as the unit gets clogged, an extremely important consideration for fleet managers looking to keep costs on an even keel throughout the year."
