Aston Barclay has helped raised more than £5,000 for national and local charities around its Westbury, Prees Heath and Leeds auction centres with a series of special sales on behalf of Alphabet.

The sales, each offering 200 cars from Alphabet, attracted a wide range of buyers.

Aston Barclay donated £5 for each vehicle sold, with Alphabet matching the total, to charities supported by BMW Group.

The first sales took place at Prees Heath and Westbury on September 4 and 25 respectively and raised £1,850 for Cancer Research UK and £1,630 for Winchester based charity Naomi House Children’s Hospice.

These sales were followed by a grand finale at Aston Barclay Leeds on October 2 when a total of £2,000 was raised for Leeds’ Martin House Children’s Hospice in a sale which saw a 100% conversion rate.

Steve Shaw, remarketing manager at Alphabet said: “Alphabet is always pleased to support those charities nominated by BMW Group and the sales across Aston Barclay have once again proven the generosity of the motor industry and the ability of Aston Barclay to achieve leading results. Thank you to everyone who helped make these special events such a great success.”
