Construction company Woodhead has added 13 Ford Transit Couriers to its growing van fleet.

The family business will this year reach its highest ever turnover figure and continues to see staff numbers grow, having taken on its 100th employee just a couple of months ago.

The 13 vehicles leave the company's head office in Edwinstowe, to be used across the company's many active sites.

Hilary Cheshire, company secretary said: "The new vans look great and we have been delighted to invest during what has been a difficult time for the industry.

"As we continue to grow we need to minimise our impact on the environment, these brand new vans are more fuel efficient and the new livery features cycle safety warnings."

"When looking for a fleet, we wanted to make sure the vans were going to work for us as a business, and we're really pleased to have settled on the Ford Transit Courier model.

"We're now working across the Midlands and Yorkshire, from Doncaster to Nottingham, Mansfield, Lincoln, Northampton and even Skegness. I'm looking forward to seeing this new fleet heading out and helping our site teams deliver their projects successfully."

Daniel Clark, commercial sales executive at GK Ford Commercial Sales in Mansfield, said: "We are delighted to have been able to supply 13  Ford Transit Courier Trend vans to Robert Woodhead Ltd."

"The Courier is a versatile, reliable and easy to drive vehicle with the loadspace and features of a much larger van. It's good to see a forward-looking company taking advantage of Ford's innovative designs."
