Ford’s increased commercial vehicle sales in 2013 drive the company to its highest market share since 2007.

The UK accounted for more than 38% of Ford’s European CV sales in 2013.

Ford recorded a UK market share of 20.9%, selling 72,238 commercial vehicles in 2013 (5,781 more than the previous year). The company’s European market share increased to 9.2% from 8.5% in 2012, the biggest share increase of any vehicle maker in Ford's 19 main markets in Europe.

Ford’s sales growth was driven by demand for the new Ford Transit Custom and the Ford Ranger pick-up. Ford sold 41,500 Transit Custom vans across Europe in its first full year of production (10,939 in the UK), and 15,400 Ford Ranger pickups across Europe (4,310 in the UK).
