The British Vehicle Salvage Federation (BVSF) has awarded its prestigious Combellack Award to FAB Recycling Ltd, a vehicle recycling business that specialises in pre-owned parts.

The annual recipient is decided by the BVSF in recognition of a member’s outstanding contribution, forward thinking and innovation, to benefit the salvage industry.

The 2014 candidates were nominated by the BVSF membership, including the management committee, which commented on the launch of FAB Bundle, a trade auction website that offers traceable bulk vehicle parts.

The award was created in memory of Jimmy Combellack, founder of Combellack Vehicle Recyclers in Cornwall, who sadly passed away soon after the BVSF was created in 1998. Jimmy was passionate about the industry and was one of the founder members of the BVSF.

Jason Cross, managing director of FAB Recycling, received the award at the BVSF annual general meeting and said:  “The Combellack Award is a great honour and I am humbled to receive this recognition from my peers.  FAB has worked hard to promote best practice in the industry and develop new technology that will benefit the trade and drivers alike.”
