Aston Barclay has launched the AB Live app which allows buyers to bid in sales across the Group’s four auction centres from wherever they are with a Wi-Fi or 3G connection.

The app, which has been developed through continual R&D with both buyers and sellers, is now available to download and is available to all trade account holders.

Every vehicle sold through Aston Barclay is also available to buy online through the company’s existing desktop auctions.

Tom Mapes, group PR and marketing manager at Aston Barclay, said “The growth of mobile technology over the past two years has been phenomenal and we have seen traffic to our website from mobile devices increase from 8% in 2012 to 38% in Q1 2014.

"The addition of our AB Live App is the first step in a programme of empowering our buyer community with new mobile and cloud based tools which allow them to source they stock they need wherever they want to.

“Ab Live not only allows multi-lane bidding with audio, it is also intuitive to the type of device being used and provides buyers with full vehicle information, inspection reports and guide pricing from CAP, Glass and it will soon provide market intelligence through our unique relationship with Deltapoint.”

The AB Live app is available on all smartphone and tablet devices and has also seen the desktop version of the Group’s existing Aston Barclay Live product updated with the latest technology to make online auctions fully accessible to all areas of the industry.
