HK Remarketing, part of the Hudson Kapel Group, has secured a new contract with Ogilvie Fleet.

The Bedfordshire based company has developed and delivered a workflow based de-fleet and sales channel management system that provides significant savings and efficiencies as well as enhancing profitability.

The Hudson Kapel Remarketing team has been working with Ogilvie closely for over 12 months. This has enabled them to understand the de-fleet and remarketing processes and practices employed, ranging from logistics allocation right through to the sales channel management. The company was then able to identify key areas where improvement and efficiencies could be made.

The system, which has been configured specifically for Ogilvie, provides them with full inventory visibility; multiple rules based sales channel operation and supplier selection. The system offers full integration of the supply chain, from vehicle inspection to logistics and remarketing and MI dashboard reporting with full audit control. By integrating with client and third party systems, the process is seamless and allows Ogilvie to retain full control over their processes. Along with all of this, a driver sales portal has been plugged into the Ogilvie website which allows Ogilvie drivers to easily obtain a provisional quote for their vehicle and to process the purchase, all of this being fully integrated into the workflow within the HK Remarketing system.

Jim Hannah, operations director at Ogilvie Fleet said, “We introduced the HKR remarketing platform to increase efficiency within our remarketing team. The key goal for us was to be able to handle multiple suppliers within the same environment, for stock management, collections, inspections and preparation of pre and post sales analysis. We have now achieved this and as a result, significantly reduced the amount of time spent searching through different supplier’s individual sites”.
