Volkswagen is attending a number of Motabiity showcase events this summer at key locations across the UK.

Having started at the Bluewater shopping centre in Kent, the first of Motability's ‘One Big Day' events allows disabled customers to experience products from a number of different carmakers.  ‘One Big Day' follows shortly after two exhibitions held in Manchester and Belfast, which Volkswagen attended with successful results.

Volkswagen's business development manager, Claire English, said: ‘We had a lot of interest in our vehicles in Manchester and Belfast and are looking forward to being a part of the ‘One Big Day' events.  They are a great opportunity to showcase our new Polo, as well as the Golf, Scirocco, Touran and Passat Estate to Motability customers and their families.  The visitors to the event can get all the information they need from our trained Motability advisors as well as enjoying a great day out.'

The next events will be held at the following locations:

• Westpoint, Exeter - Saturday 26 July
• Donington Park, Derby - Thursday 7 August
• Yorkshire Event Centre - Thursday 14 August

Completely free to attend and held mainly indoors, the One Big Day events offer disabled people the chance to find out more about the range of cars, adaptations, scooters and powered wheelchairs available to lease through the Motability scheme.  

Visitors can test drive a selection of cars, including some fitted with popular driving adaptations, talk to Motability advisors and gather a range of helpful information, while enjoying a fun day out with their friends and families.

Volkswagen has 14 models available on the Motability scheme to cater for drivers' different needs and lifestyles, from the up! city car through the evergreen Polo, Golf and Passat ranges to the Sharan people carrier.
