Iron Mountain, a global leader in information management and storage, has re-appointed Lex Autolease as the sole vehicle supplier and fleet management services provider to its fleet of 235 light commercial vehicles.

Iron Mountain helps organisations around the world reduce the risks and costs associated with storing, protecting and managing company information.

Its fleet of bespoke Ford Transit vans are fitted out to allow for sensitive information and various media formats to be transported safely without fear of damage.

Lex Autolease was selected following a rigorous tender process which required applicants to demonstrate an ability to tightly control costs and provide full fleet management services, including breakdown recovery and replacement tyres.

As part of the agreement, Lex Autolease will deliver a further 71 bespoke vans to the business by the end of the year.

Dawn Cameron, purchasing category manager at Iron Mountain, said: “Vehicle downtime management, cost control and service delivery are essential to the smooth running of our operations.

“Lex Autolease has the experience and expertise to ensure that our vehicles stay on the road and provide a cost effective and reliable fleet solution.”

Linda Rivett, regional director for Scotland at Lex Autolease, said: “Through our 16 year relationship with Iron Mountain, we fully appreciate the importance of a running dependable fleet when transporting confidential information.

“As the business’ sole fleet services provider, we look forward to supporting this business as it continues to provide business-critical services to companies across the UK.”
