The 208, Peugeot’s well-liked compact hatchback, has a more dynamic look for 2015. But the changes go far beyond cosmetic. In fact, many of the substantial improvements directly reflect the need of fleet managers to run ever more efficient, greener fleets.

New award-winning, efficient engine

At the heart of the New 208 is Peugeot’s 1.2 litre PureTech engine, which triumphed at the International Engine of the Year Awards 2015. It combines the performance normally associated with a bigger engine with superior fuel consumption and efficiency, to satisfy the most demanding fleet managers. CO2 emissions are from a class-leading 79g/km. Such figures have put the New 208 on many fleet shortlists.

The diesel options are equally impressive. BlueHDi technology makes this range of 1.6 litre engines among the most efficient on the market. Again, the figures are compelling: the 120 Stop & Start version produces just 94g/km of CO2.

Updated in-car technology for connectivity and safety

For a compact car, the New 208 is bursting with technology to make business easier. Within the Peugeot i-Cockpit, a large, multi-function, colour touch screen gives the driver fingertip control of all the car’s audio, communications and navigation equipment, including Bluetooth, Sat Nav and the DAB digital radio.

New Peugeot Mirror Screen ® log lets the driver display compatible smartphone apps on the touchscreen and manage them using the vehicle controls. It’s a safer way for your colleagues to stay connected.

Technology makes the 208 safer and easier to drive, too – particularly in urban  areas. Active City Brake, Park Assist, Electronic Stability Control and a Reversing Camera are all now available.

A more pleasurable business driving experience

The New 208 has lots to offer business drivers who spend substantial time behind the wheel.

The award-winning PureTech engines punch above their weight in terms of performance. There’s also the new EAT6 six-speed automatic gearbox, which uses QuickShift technology to bring faster, smoother changes. The combination results in an exhilarating, responsive driving experience.

The interior is now more comfortable, with higher quality materials and standard features such as a full-grain leather steering wheel.

While the exterior makeover, including a revised front grille and sharper, more muscular styling, makes the New 208 a car to be seen in – and a way of projecting a modern, dynamic and professional business image.

Improved fleet manager support

With managers of larger fleets (50+) under increasing demands, support from the vehicle provider is more important than ever.

Peugeot have responded to this situation. Fleet managers are allocated a Corporate Sales Manager, and for the aftersales care a single point of contact at a Peugeot Business Centre in their nationwide network.

Add to this with an extensive range of award-winning vehicles, the overall Peugeot fleet proposition is stronger than ever.
