First launched in 1996, fleetnews.co.uk now features an updated, fully responsive design which is quicker and more intuitive for desktop, mobile and tablet users.

The widely used range of tools is still on offer, with additional development work to ensure they are clearer and more straightforward to use on smaller devices.

News and features sections have also been reorganised to provide easier access to content that is valuable to fleet decision makers.

The website saw a 40% year on year increase in page impressions in 2014, and in 2015 is now averaging more than 500,000 impressions per month.

In 2014, mobile and tablet traffic accounted for 36.5% of visits, up from 28% in 2013.

According to latest data from intelligence firm Experian Hitwise, the website draws in ten times more visitors than its nearest rival each month.

At the same time, Fleet News is launching a brand new website, commercialfleet.org, to accompany the new title Commercial Fleet, which launches in print next month.

This new site will offer news and insight from across the van and truck industry, with the main Fleet News website driving traffic to this new venture.

The website will continue to offer tax and running cost tools aimed at van fleet operators, with additional truck content on the way.

Stephen Briers, editor-in-chief of Fleet News, said: “We are always looking at ways to improve the user experience and we are confident that our visitors will find this new site much easier to use especially if they are viewing it on mobile.

“We also have plenty of other developments in the pipeline that will further help companies to run efficient and effective fleet operations.”

The new websites can be found at www.fleetnews.co.uk and www.commercialfleet.org
