Licencecheck has launched Davis, a hosted fleet management solution offering a modular approach that allows customers to mix-and-match components.

Davis will address the fleet requirements of a wide range of organisations including those running mixed fleets of company owned vehicles (cars, van, lorries, buses and minibuses) and grey fleet.

At launch, Davis will initially focus on grey fleet users, with a powerful autofill capability which populates vehicle details, road fund licence and MOT information automatically (using DVLA, SMMT and DVLA data).  This ensures that the process of registering the vehicle is fast, accurate and all fields are properly completed.  Useful features include prompts and reminders to drivers and managers about important dates and actions to be completed.  There is also a news broadcast to managers and drivers so that important information is easily disseminated.

With a driving licence checking module already integrated into Davis, various other modules will be launched over the next couple of months including telematics, foreign driving licence document recognition and expenses management.  Additional modules including tachograph, replacement vehicle hire, driver assessment and training will be launched early in 2016. Davis has been developed with input from experts in all the modules’ respective fields to ensure that functionality and essential features are present for each of its target user groups.

Easily accessible from any device via an internet connection for drivers and administrators, it will support all popular browsers.  As a hosted solution, it also avoids potential security issues that an installed solution can present to IT managers.

Licencecheck managing director Richard Brown said: “Offering powerful reporting facilities to managers, Davis uses technology to meet fleet requirements in the most efficient and cost-effective way, which is different to many existing products which rely on extensive manual intervention to manage services and provide report.”

Brown added: “Being able to mix and match modules to suit individual companies is a real bonus, and we’re confident that this feature, and its many other benefits, make it an ideal solution for all-vehicle and grey fleets.”

The company will be showcasing the system at Fleet Management Live next month. Tickets are free and can be booked now at fleetmanagementlive.co.uk.
