Tusker has partnered with EasitNetwork to provide 500 member companies with the opportunity to implement a bespoke, carbon reduction salary sacrifice car scheme.

EasitNetwork is a not for profit organisation that promotes sustainable travel and sees salary sacrifice cars as an excellent way to get people out of older cars and into brand new, cleaner and more fuel efficient ones.

The new salary sacrifice scheme will heavily promote low emission vehicles, and will contain additional discounts and incentives for electric and hybrid cars.

Tusker has worked with EasitNetwork to develop a sustainability fund initiative, where the company calculates the carbon savings for an employee coming out of their old car and going into a new scheme car.  For each ton of carbon reduced, the employer receives £30 towards sustainability projects such as charging posts or solar panels.

Tusker offers members a tailored scheme that allows employees to offset their vehicle’s carbon footprint.

Drivers can also benefit from a complimentary ‘smarter driving’ course, run by Tusker.

The 45-minute course teaches drivers how to drive in a fuel efficient manner and increase their mpg.

Dr Mel Mehmet, CEO of EasitNetwork, said: “Our aim is to introduce our members to a complete range of sustainable transport initiatives - a ‘something for everyone’ approach.

“Partnering with Tusker will enable us to engage with those commuters where driving is the only option.”

EasitNetwork has 500 members representing an estimated one million employees in the south of England.
