Dack Motor Group has become the 300th service centre to join Prestige Fleet Servicing’s service, maintenance and repair network for fleets.

The milestone service centre is Dack Motor Group’s Coventry outlet which specialises in SMR work for Vauxhall, Land Rover, BMW/Mini, Volkswagen, Audi and Mercedes brands and which opened earlier this year.

The Group also has a site in Lincoln, which it opened in 2010, and which specialises in servicing and repairing Vauxhall, Land Rover and BMW/Mini vehicles, and which joined the Prestige network earlier this year.

Owner and managing director Leo Dack said that becoming part of the network had made perfect business sense. “We were already Prestige members through our Lincoln site and, when we opened in Coventry earlier this year, this seemed a perfect way of helping drive business to the site,” he said. “Around 20% of our business at Coventry is dedicated to fleet work for Prestige.

“We treat fleet customers as if they were paying us direct, and even carry out a video health check of their vehicles, looking at items such as tyres, brakes and glass to show the drivers what condition they are in.”

Prestige commercial director Joe Bhamra said that the appointment of Dack Motor Group was part of Prestige’s ongoing expansion plans which had seen it grow by 30% from 230 outlets just 12 months ago.

Bhamra explained: “We have been recruiting high calibre, professionally-run, independent fleet servicing outlets to complete our national network in certain geographical locations around the country.

“And so we are delighted to be able to welcome Dack Motor Group’s Coventry site as our 300th centre, as our expansion plans continue apace.

“This expansion is necessary to meet increased customer demand following several new important business wins with key fleet customers, which have seen the company grow considerably in recent months.”

Prestige provides SMR work to fleet operators throughout the country, including some of the UK’s largest leasing companies, fleet management providers, corporate fleets and aftermarket warranty companies.

It has been operating in the fleet servicing arena since 2007and offers service centre partners a number of operational benefits, including guaranteed throughput of fleet servicing business, national parts prices, the latest technology platforms, a national oil agreement and discounted insurance deals.

Bhamra continued: “Through our added value programme, we offer independent garages a huge array of benefits from joining our network. For example, our national oil agreement with Fuchs, the world’s largest independent lubricants manufacturer, ensures that, not only are buying prices kept low, but that the latest oils for the current generation of advanced engines are readily available.

“Our service centres benefit from receiving, on their initial order, nine complementary disposable containers each holding 20 litres of high grade engine oil which is compliant with 98% of vehicles in the UK.”

At the hub of the Prestige operation is the Unity management system which is used by all centres for diary management, SMR authorisations, work progress management and management information reporting.
