Attention to detail and a straight-forward business approach has helped Ogilvie Fleet win a four-year full outsourcing contract to provide vehicles and a range of services to Hampshire-based Raymond Brown Construction.

The construction company, which has offices across southern England and Wales, and operates in multiple work streams including the core specialist areas of energy, rail and building, has turned to Ogilvie Fleet after facing “challenges” with other vehicle suppliers in recent years.

The comprehensive outsourcing contract will see multi award-winning Ogilvie Fleet provide and maintain 140 vehicles.

Initially, legacy management of previous suppliers’ vehicles will be provided with new company cars delivered as current models on the fleet reach the end of their fleet life.

Furthermore, the contract includes a comprehensive range of additional services from Ogilvie Fleet’s portfolio including: fleet management and maintenance, fuel card management and employee driver licence validation.

Raymond Brown Construction’s focus on occupational road risk management is further underpinned by Ogilvie Fleet undertaking checks on employees who drive their own cars on business trips - so-called ‘grey fleet’ vehicles - including validation of driver licences and documentation relating to vehicle insurance, MoTs and scheduled servicing.

Additionally, Ogilvie Fleet’s daily rental online booking portal gives Raymond Brown Construction access to more than 500,000 vehicles from more than 2,000 sites nationwide with as little as two hours’ notice.

Raymond Brown Construction will also benefit from accessing Ogilvie Fleet’s award-winning online solutions and its commitment to technology - as well as its focus on personal service - that was critical in securing the contract.

Online quotations help empower drivers to seek out their new company car reducing administration for Raymond Brown Construction, while MiFleet Showroom delivers critical real-time fleet management information and Ogilvie Fleet’s recently enhanced ‘Happy Drivers’ app gives drivers access to a wide range of essential information on the move.

Guy Hardacre, managing director, Raymond Brown Construction, said: “Ogilvie Fleet is a family-owned business that has similar ethics and values to Raymond Brown Construction. Above all Ogilvie Fleet prides itself on delivering a personal and exceptional level of customer service. We look forward to the development of our partnership and the benefits it will bring in 2017 and beyond.”

Jo Clark, director of sales at Ogilvie Fleet, which in recent years has seen the number of company cars and vans on its books under lease and fleet management arrangements expand to more than 15,000, said: “Raymond Brown Construction and their drivers have already seen a transformation in the provision of their fleet services and as our relationship develops will, gain even more benefit from our industry-leading products and customer service.

“Raymond Brown Construction has faced a number of challenges with its vehicle providers in the last few years and our straight-forward approach and attention to detail will provide the company with a fully outsourced solution freeing up valuable resource within its business.”
