Brake, the road safety charity, has confirmed the speaker line-up for its acclaimed Fleet Safety Conference 2017.

This year’s conference, sponsored by FORS, will see experts from the world of fleet share best practice in managing road risk on Thursday, May 25.

Zari’aat Masood, professional engagement officer at Brake said: “We are extremely excited to announce the line-up of speakers for this year’s conference.

“Every year, we bring together leading fleet professionals who are pioneering safety measures in the industry, and I’d urge anyone responsible for managing at-work drivers to take advantage of this excellent networking opportunity.”

Fleet operators and suppliers are being urged to book onto the conference sooner rather than later as the charity expect to sell out its venue at the St John's Hotel, Solihull (UK).

The conference provides an opportunity for fleet professionals to hear from leading experts on key road safety issues.

Additionally, best practice presentations will be presented by organisations pioneering fleet safety measures.

The conference will cover topical issues including protecting vulnerable road users, company driver safety, and engaging with road safety in your community.

The agenda will feature presentations from both public and private sector operators, representing car, van, truck, and mixed vehicle fleets.

Confirmed speakers include: Mark Bromhall, group road safety manager at Royal Mail, Graham Bellman, group fleet director at Travis Perkins; and John Griffiths, head of fleet and logistics at South East Coast Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust; John Hix, director at FORS; Tracey Fuller, customer engagement manager at Arval; Lee Matthews, road risk and green fleet manager at Morrison Utility Service; Dr Matthew Watkins, senior lecturer in product design at Nottingham Trent University; and Nobby Clark, driver development officer at Balfour Beatty.

Hix said: “This fantastic line up of speakers will bring new perspectives and insight for improving fleet safety.

“FORS is delighted to be sponsoring the conference, and will be taking the opportunity to meet with fleet managers and suppliers from across the country with the overall aim of improving road safety.”
