Independent Motor Auctions has secured a remarketing deal with Arnold Clark, which will boost the quantity of its used car stock at the firm’s new, Thursday auctions held at its recently acquired Blackpool facility.

Since buying West Coast Motor Auctions in Poulton-le-Fyde near Blackpool in December 2016, Independent Motor Auctions has completed a six-figure investment in the business.

The Blackpool auction site has been transformed with an upgraded and faster IT system, a major refurbished canteen, a new cashiers office, reception and rostrum, plus the acquisition of a new vehicle transporter, it says.

Over the past six months, it says it has increased the turnover of the Blackpool facility by 100%, thanks to the hard work and commitment from the existing 12 staff and new team members.

Justin Lane, managing director of Independent Motor Auctions, said: “The acquisition of West Coast Motor Auctions has been a huge success and we are delighted that we’ve been able to enhance the business.

“We’ve invested heavily in the Blackpool facility, introducing a raft of improvements to systems and processes, so that we can give a better service to our motor dealer customers.

“We offer a wide selection of passenger and commercial vehicles from local and national main dealer groups, direct fleet, finance repossessions and private entries.”

Auctions are held in Blackpool on Mondays from 6pm and Thursdays from 11am; and in Leeds on Tuesdays from 11.30am, Wednesdays from 6pm, Thursdays from 11am (LCV) and Fridays from 5pm.

Alternatively, trade customers can use Independent Motor Auction’s online bidding platform, available 24/7.

Independent Motor Auctions has auction facilities at Leeds and Blackpool and employs a total of 38 staff across the group.

It operates from Scotland down to the West Midlands.  Its clients include Days Motor Park, Days Fleet, Ford, Vantage Motor Group, HPL Motors, Dace Motor Company, Vantage Motors, Cars2, John Roe Toyota, Burrows Motor Group and Jennings.
