Road safety charity Brake has announced finalists for its annual Fleet Safety Awards with more than 60 organisations in with a chance of winning one of 14 awards.

The annual event, sponsored by Arval, recognises the achievements of fleet operators and suppliers who are working hard to reduce road crashes involving at-work drivers.

Brake has received a record number of award entries and this year’s finalists include well-known names such as Johnson & Johnson, Royal Mail and Aldi, as well as smaller local organisations including Gateshead Council, O’Donovan Waste Disposal and Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service.

A full shortlist (details below) has now been released for each category, and winners will be announced at a gala dinner on Thursday, October 1, 2015, at the St John’s Hotel, Solihull, Birmingham with tickets on sale for £150 per person.

Ellie Pearson, senior professional engagement officer at Brake, said: “We have been thoroughly impressed with this year’s entries, with many companies entering our awards for the first time. It is fantastic that so many companies are making a real effort to end the needless crashes on our roads as a result of at-work drivers. Our judges are going to have a tough time choosing the winners and we wish all our finalists the best of luck and look forward to seeing them all at our awards dinner.”
