Business mobility and fleet specialist Alphabet has appointed Tim Howett as technical services business development manager.

Andy Williams has also been appointed as technical services business development manager from his previous position with the company as technical operations manager.

Howett has more than 15 years of leasing knowledge and expertise to Alphabet and will join Williams, a long-standing Alphabet employee, in two newly-created technical services business development manager roles..

With responsibility for new initiatives on all aftersales topics – including tyre and glass management, accident management, development of the service, maintenance and repair (SMR) network, as well as challenges created by the opportunities from increasingly ‘connected’ vehicles – Howett and Williams will work with Alphabet’s customers, suppliers and stakeholders to understand new market trends, as well as plan and implement changes.

Kit Wisdom, head of technical services, said: “We are delighted to welcome Tim to the technical services team with his passion for the industry and delivering outstanding levels of customer service.

"Tim and Andy’s depth and breadth of experience will be vital in driving operational excellence in Alphabet’s technical service delivery.

"Their roles are involved with both the continual improvement of our existing services, as well as implementing changes to help us meet the new technological challenges and opportunities presented by the connected car revolution."
