Ford’s newest SUV will provide visitors to Company Car In Action with one of many first drive opportunities at the event.

The Edge, which will be launched this summer, is Ford’s largest SUV in Europe, and offers customers a spacious five-seat interior, powerful diesel engines with manual or automatic transmissions, and the confidence and stability of all-wheel drive traction.

It sits at the top of Ford’s SUV range, which now includes the medium-size Kuga and the compact Ecosport, and will available for testing alongside these models as well as the latest version of the Ranger double-cab, which has just gone on sale.

Some of Ford’s latest hatchbacks will also be appearing at the event for the first time, including Ecoboost versions of the Fiesta, as well as the high-performance all-wheel drive Focus RS.

Ford’s premium Vignale line will also be represented with the Mondeo and S-Max, while the versatile MPV line-up will include the latest Galaxy and the Tourneo.

Company Car In Action is held at Millbrook Proving Ground, in Bedfordshire, and will take place on June 14-15.

It offers fleet decision makers an unrivalled range of cars and vans to test back to back, allowing them to make better-informed decisions when selecting vehicles for their fleets.

Bring held at a proving ground, with closed roads designed for the appraisal of vehicles, it offers the best environment for judging how cars perform.

Vehicles will be available for testing on one or more of four different routes. The twisty hill course provides the opportunity to assess vehicle handling and responses; the high-speed bowl, which allows attendees to drive at 100mph, is ideal for testing motorway performance; the city course is designed for checking low-speed manoeuvrability; the off-road course is intended for 4x4s.

Fleet operators can register for their free place at www.companycarinaction.co.uk.
