Škoda UK has created a ‘flexible solution’ for emergency services fleets, which allows vehicles to be financed rather than being bought outright.

The offer has been created in partnership with VWFS Fleet (part of Volkswagen Financial Services).

As well as the vehicle leasing costs, Škoda’s customers can roll their conversion, breakdown recovery and service, maintenance and repair requirements into the deal – without having to deal with numerous different partners and suppliers. This includes tyre replacement when tread depths reach 3mm.

The offer covers seven different Škoda model options – four derivatives of the Octavia and three of the Superb. Annual costs depend on the number of miles the vehicles will travel each year, and whether or not conversion and maintenance are included.

An example 12-month cost for the Octavia Scout 4x4 150PS version is £5,654 for 100,000 annual miles, including conversion and maintenance.

Škoda expects the offer to further increase its customer base in the ambulance sector – with new VW Group estimates placing the manufacturer as the industry leader for rapid response vehicles in the UK.

Henry Williams, head of fleet for Škoda UK, said: "For many years, Škoda has had a compelling offer for ambulance authorities. Our larger vehicles are able to store more equipment, and carry a higher payload than many rivals.

"Now, with the introduction of our contract hire option in partnership with VWFS Fleet, we’re giving our public sector clients added flexibility when purchasing, to ensure that they get maximum value-for-money.”

Škoda and VWFS Fleet are both approved Crown Commercial Service suppliers, and only use accredited converters. To find out more about emergency services fleet offers from Škoda UK, email emergencyservicessupply@vwg.co.uk or call 01908 548043.
