Vauxhall has further developed its aftersales service for fleets with the introduction of its premium ‘SMR+’ package.

Providing drivers with service, maintenance and repair cover, this iFleet-administered package for routine servicing includes additional items such as brake fluid changes, maintenance work (brake discs, pads and clutches), and mechanical/electrical warranty work.

Where the package differs from existing products is through providing a bespoke ‘concierge-style’ service including all service items, as well as warranty and wear and tear replacements. The customer only pays for tyres and fuel.

SMR+ also includes MoTs and Vauxhall Assistance for the contract duration.

There is a proactive system used to contact a fleet manager or driver to remind them of upcoming service requirements, also enabling the service to be booked at a preferred Vauxhall retailer.

SMR+ also allows the fleet manager to pay for the package at a small, interest-free monthly cost.

This allows the service and repairs to be covered with the dealer directly, meaning the driver only has to drop the vehicle off and pick it up later on.

Providing a personal call to advise when a service is due, bookings can be made on behalf of the driver.

The chosen Vauxhall retailer will be notified of the booking and all policy details in advance, so no policy numbers or documents need to be presented by the driver upon arrival.

Optional extras included with the SMR+ package include MoTs up to class seven, car hire allowance and onward travel assistance (overnight accommodation contribution where appropriate).

Vauxhall Assistance including roadside, home service, recovery, onward mobility and European cover is also provided, as is unlimited claims liability up to the original price of the vehicle.
