Mazda has revealed the new CX-5 SUV in the run-up to the 2016 Los Angeles Auto Show.

The CX-5 now comes with the full range of Skyactiv technology including two petrol engines – the Skyactiv-G 2.0 and Skyactiv-G 2.5 – and the Skyactiv-D 2.2 clean diesel.

The new model also features G-Vectoring Control, a windscreen head-up display, and a remote-controlled power liftgate.

The vehicle will go on sale in February in Japan prior to its roll-out in other markets around the world.

Sold in more than 120 countries, the CX-5 represents around one-quarter of Mazda’s global unit sales.

It has won more than 90 awards worldwide including 2012-2013 Japan Car of the Year as well as numerous best SUV and crossover prizes.
