Škoda confirms prices, specification and CO2 for new Octavia

Škoda has revealed full details for the new Octavia range which is available to order now.

Prices start from £17,055 for S models with a 1.0-litre TSI petrol engine and top out at £30,025 for the 2.0 TDI Laurin & Klement estate. SE, SE Technology and SE L are also available

The UK range features six engines, two body styles (Hatch and Estate) and seven trim levels – including Scout and vRS although these models will be available shortly.

Fleet drivers are likely to choose the £21,645 1.6 TDI SE Technology with a DSG gearbox as it features satnav, parking sensors and adaptive cruise control along with low CO2 of 103g/km. Company car tax will cost around £60 per month (20% taxpayer) for this model.

The new model also introduces a host of new technologies. These include fully updated infotainment systems featuring capacitive all-glass displays measuring up to 9.2 inches. The range-topping Columbus system (standard on Laurin & Klement, optional on other models) also integrates a WLAN hotspot (for connection to a smartphone) and the option of a SIM module to allow the car to be independently connected to the Internet.
