Autogas has appointed Auke Faber in the newly created role of conversion scheme advisor.

Faber will be responsible for providing technical support to the vehicle converters, recruiting new workshops to give greater nationwide coverage as well as supporting the local marketing efforts of its network members.

Prior to his appointment at Autogas, Faber worked as a product development engineer for LPG fuel injection system supplier Vialle in Holland for nine years.

Faber said: “With the current concerns about air quality and vehicle emissions, this is an incredibly exciting time to be joining Autogas. This is perhaps an unprecedented opportunity to help grow the LPG vehicle parc in the UK and I’m looking forward to working closely with our converters to encourage more fleets and individuals to make the switch to the cheaper, cleaner fuel.”
