Infiniti has announced that Barry Beeston will take up his position as country director for the UK with the company from May 1.

He will be responsible for all Sales and Marketing activities in the UK and will report directly to Francois Goupil de Bouille, vice president of Infiniti Europe, Middle East and Africa.

Beeston moves to Infiniti UK, from Nissan Motor (GB) where he worked in many different areas of the business, ranging from aftersales to regional retail sales, and most recently corporate fleet sales at a board director level, where fleet sales grew by 32% over three years.

Infiniti launched the British built Q30 earlier this year, and the QX30 will be launched shortly in a bid to grow sales in the active compact sector. Further new products are due later this year, such as the Q60 coupe.

Beeston said: “As any company grows it brings with it new challenges. We clearly need to expand our centre network, ensuring our customers continue to receive high levels of service as our volume grows. We also need to further develop an internal infrastructure to support both retail and fleet sales channels.”

Previous country manager, Carl Bayliss, has been elected to network strategy director at Nissan Motor (GB).
