Chris Grayling, former leader of the House of Commons, is to become Secretary of State for Transport as part of new Prime Minister Theresa May's cabinet reshuffle.

Grayling has been MP for Epsom and Ewell since 2001, and headed up Theresa May's campaign to lead the Conservative party.

John Hayes has returned to the department, having previously held the role of Roads Minister between 2014-15.

Rail minister Claire Perry has resigned, while Robert Goodwill has moved to the Home Office to become Minister of State.
