Alphabet has appointed Leo Taylor as its new head of product management, who returns to the company after five years.

Taylor joins from BMW Group Financial Services in Munich where he was a key member of the team responsible for the strategic development of the marque’s global finance operation since 2014.

Prior to his time with BMW Group Financial Services, Taylor fulfilled a number of commercial sales strategy roles for Alphabet International in Munich. Taylor began his career with Alphabet in the UK back in 2003 where he worked in a number of commercial roles.

Taylor said: “I’m really pleased to be re-joining the rapidly-changing mobility sector and personally feel like I have returned ‘home’ to the Alphabet family. I spent an early part of my career with the company so it is incredible to come back and see the progress that the company has made.

"From the extensive range of products and services on offer, the growth in ultra-low emission vehicles, the rise of ‘shared usage’ vehicles, plus of course the move to Alphabet House in Farnborough, the business and industry have changed enormously. It’s an exciting time to be involved in the business travel and mobility arena and I’m looking forward to helping Alphabet shape and develop the market.”

Mark Gibson, head of marketing and business development added: “I’m delighted to welcome someone of Leo’s breadth of experience to the team. Alphabet’s ethos is to keep our customers on the move and keep moving ahead as a business, so the ongoing development of our product portfolio is crucial to our continued success. As we’ve seen with the innovative products brought to the market over recent years, such as AlphaElectric, AlphaCity and AlphaGuide, the challenge is to understand and meet the full spectrum of demand from widely different types of customers today, as well as anticipate their future mobility requirements.”
