Business Driver confirms that David Kenworthy, QPM, DL has been appointed to the board as Non-Executive Director.

He joins with immediate effect, bringing a wealth of experience in road safety, public sector, commercial and charity governance.

Kenworthy’s career as a police officer spanned 36 years, serving in four forces, culminating as Chief Constable of North Yorkshire.

He chaired the committee responsible for the Road Policing Strategy for England and Wales and, since retirement from the police service, has been a keen advocate for and practitioner of high standards in corporate governance.

He has also chaired two national charities, including the Institute of Advanced Motorists, and from 2009 was the founding chairman of UK Anti-Doping, an arms length government body. He was appointed Deputy Lieutenant of North Yorkshire in 2004.
