During six years of publishing the Fleet200 we have provided unprecedented insight into how the UK's big fleets run their operations, from preferred funding methods to choice of manufacturers, to operating cycles and future expenditure.

This year we have extended our focus to incident rates, calculating an average for the Fleet200, including both own-fault and non-fault ratios. We also ask some of the best performers how they set about minimising risk, and whether they carry out functions in-house or use third-party providers. Elsewhere, we have put the spotlight on CO2 emissions, assessing how successfully fleets are reducing their average outputs and the impact of hybrid and electric vehicles.

And, also for the first time, we have included data on trucks in some of the analysis pieces, in keeping with our broader remit on our sister publication Commercial Fleet.
