March update from AA DriveTech

DriveTech, part of the AA, invests in five new business development appointments to drive growth in key sectors

With a growing demand for its fleet and driver risk management solutions, DriveTech is announcing a number of recent appointments to drive growth in its Corporate Fleet business.

The appointments will further strengthen DriveTech’s ability to support its fleet customers in ensuring Health & Safety and legal compliance, as well as safer drivers, lower emissions (and therefore higher air quality) and driving down running costs.

Simon Hunt – Head of National Sales, Corporate Fleet

Simon joined DriveTech in January 2017 as Head of National Sales. His focus is centred around ensuring the delivery of value for customers, driving innovation and building strong long-term relationships. Having led sales and operational teams within world class and global service organisations, such as LeasePlan and RAC, Simon brings a customer-centric approach to DriveTech’s fleet risk management and driver education services.

Tracey Bass – Sector Manager (Supermarkets), Corporate Fleet

Tracey returns to DriveTech, after a short break, to manage its longstanding relationships and well-established customer engagement in the supermarket sector in general and home delivery in particular. With a proven track record of sales, client services, key account management and communication, Tracey has over seven years’ experience in the area of risk management, working closely with many blue-chip DriveTech customers.

Zoe Mitchell – Sector Manager (Partners and Not for Profit), Corporate Fleet

Zoe’s main focus is to manage and develop long-term relationships with key business partners, ensuring they have the best solutions across DriveTech products to offer to their customers. Her sector includes Not for Profit organisations, insurance providers and leasing companies. She brings with her over six years’ experience in both new business development and key account management across multiple sectors, with a clear focus on developing client relationships and delivering new strategic partnerships.

Alex Glazier – Sector Manager (Utilities, Rail & Blue Light), Corporate Fleet

Alex has joined DriveTech to progress the expansion of its activities in the utilities and blue light sectors. With a proven background spanning over seven years in account management within the leasing industry, most recently with Alphabet GB (part of the BMW Group), Alex has extensive experience of developing strong B2B relationships within the corporate sector as well as small and medium enterprises (SMEs). Alex has the proficiency not only to identify profitable sales opportunities but also to provide valuable advice to customers, therefore enabling DriveTech to exceed their expectations.

Craig McCall - Sector Manager (Bus and Coach), Corporate Fleet

Craig joined DriveTech in 2008 and has spent the last six years specialising in training innovation, coaching and delivery with Passenger Carrying Vehicle (PCV) clients. With his strong bus and coach driver training background and extensive industry knowledge, Craig’s goal is to further strengthen DriveTech’s success with numerous bus and coach operators across the UK. This will be achieved by facilitating an extremely high standard of innovative safer driver training and helping to reduce collision costs and environmental emissions.

Chris Thornton, DriveTech’s Director of the Corporate Fleet business, commented: “The market for fleet and driver risk management is growing significantly and these strategic appointments will ensure that we meet the demand we’re seeing for our services.

“Our focus on industry sectors ensures that our solutions meet the needs of our customers because we understand what their key priorities are. That’s why we are delighted to attract some extremely talented people to our industry and our business, who will have a strong positive impact on our success and that of our customers.”
